I’m partially relieved I’m not going to SU next year.
Maybe one of you guys will see this and spread the word about how I talked shit and everyone will hate me.
But when did everyone ever like me?
I’m just relieved I don’t have to go back to a broken theater. A theater where everyone is condescending and mean.
You know those jokes I always made about myself and how sad my life was? Didn’t make those before SU.
But that’s not the theater’s fault, I think that’s more of an SU thing, the pity party is popular there.
The flaws in the theater program are mostly due to the men anyways.
They’re unapologetically sexist, a few of them are sociopaths, and at least two of them have gone on stage with the purpose of fucking everything up because they didn’t actually care.
I’m sure the women have problems, but they pale in comparison to the other side of the curtain.
I loved my time at SU and I grew so much, but I was honestly looking at other schools before money became a problem.
There were so many good things at SU, so many moments that I was so proud of, I wanted to change things this next year, I wanted to somehow unite the theater and make it a family, like I’ve found it to be at so many other theaters.
Maybe this is just me being pretentious because I’ve been doing this since age 8, maybe no one else has a problem with this, but I needed to get that off my chest.
Goodbye SU, it’s been grand.

I can not speak to how incredible Robin Williams as so many others can. I can’t even imagine how much he has done to me and to influence my acting. Growing up watching Aladdin over and over just to memorize “Friend Like Me”, watching Jumanji on all the family car rides, being introduced to the Birdcage in high school by my girlfriend, these are just a few of my favorites moments with Robin Williams. His story is a tragedy and what’s all the more disappointing is that his death was the first I heard of his depression. The way we approach anything of the sort is to romanticize the problem, or push it under a rug, but his death is no place to pull out a soap box.

I’ll simply repeat the one of the first things my clowning teacher taught us, and that is: Sometimes the funniest clowns, are the saddest ones.

Here’s a video I made of a vacation I went on in Disneyland a month ago while on vacation now in Chelan Washington.
